Community Education coordinates many programs throughout Grayson County year round, providing “Lifelong Learning for All.” Among them, Red Ribbon Week is held each fall to educate students and the community about living “drug-free.” In the spring “A Novel Tea,” sponsored by the Grayson County Public Library, brings local and regional authors to town.
Community Education comes in many forms. It provides classes to discover new interests or build on skills. It reaches outward with programs that raise awareness of important community issues. It connects people, it connects programs. Community Education is a vital liaison, offering lifelong learning opportunities, managing volunteer programs, offering learn-and-serve opportunities, and collaborating with schools and many other community organizations
