The GCMS Future Problem Solving team (shown during a recent practice) took first place at Governor’s Cup Regionals and will advance to State competition next month.  In addition, 8th grader Eli Helm placed 2nd in Social Studies written assessment, and will also compete at state.

Congratulations to GCMS’ Karen Van Metre, selected as one of three finalists for Kentucky Math and Science Teacher of the Year. She was recognized by state Education Commissioner Stephen Pruitt during a special ceremony Feb. 8 in Frankfort.
