It's hard to believe that summer break is almost over and we're ready to welcome back students and staff! Here's a rundown on some important dates coming up over the next several weeks. Also be sure to check your school's site and social media to keep up with any changes or updates.

GCHS

NEW Student Registration, Tuesday, July 23 and Wednesday, July 24: Counselors will be available to register NEW students between 8:30 am - 2 pm. Custodial Parent/Guardian will need to bring a current immunization, physical, birth certificate, social security card and school records. If you have questions, please call the Counselor’s Office at 270-259-5459.

Upperclassman: 2019-2020 schedules may be viewed on the Infinite Campus Portal July 30.  IF a student wishes to discuss a potential schedule change, Counselors will be available July 31 and August 1 from 8:30 am - 2 pm.

Freshman Ice Cream Social and Orientation, Monday, July 29 from 5 - 7 pm: All incoming freshman students and parents are invited to attend and receive 2019-20 schedules and meet staff. There will also be information on KEES, ACT, career/technical information, a high school 101 session, pep rally and student panel.  For more information, please contact Shannon Johnston or Lacy Cox at 270-259-4078.

GCMS 

New Student Registration (not returning GC students), Tuesday, July 16, 10 am - 2 pm

Sixth Sense Registration, July 22 - 23, 10 am - 2 pm for incoming 6th grade students not previously registered.

Sixth Sense, July 24 - 25, 8 am - 3 pm each day. Doors open at 7 am: Sixth Sense is an amazing program to help our 6th graders get acclimated to GCMS!  Our 6th grade teachers and other staff will lead a variety of activities to make sure that our new students are ready to go for Day One at GCMS!

Open HouseTuesday, July 30: Students will be able to pick up their class schedules, visit classrooms and meet with teachers.
