Congratulations to Landyn Clemons, Mason Fletcher and Maggie Cox in their participation in the Jim Claypool Conservation Art Contest.  Maggie's poster was chosen as the county-wide winner and will be sent on to state competetion.  Good luck Maggie and way to go Redhawks!

Kentucky author visits Clarkson Elementary Kentucky author visits Clarkson Elementary
Kentucky author, Leigh Anne Florence visited Clarkson Elementary on Tuesday.  Students were enthralled with her as well as her two dogs, Woody and Chloe.  Mrs. Florence is best known for her Woody series and a column in newspapers concerning government.  A great time was had by all. 
CES honors Veterans CES honors Veterans
CES honors Veterans.  Students were involved with a wonderful assembly on Friday morning honoring all who have served in the military.  Later many vets joined their students for a great lunch.  Thank you to all who have served our country. 
Fall Festival Court Fall Festival Court
Winners of this year's Fall Festival King is Dylan Decker, Prince, Asa Bratcher.  This year's Queen is Addie Lou Sanders and Princess Kinslee Gibson. 
Annual Pumpkin Character Contest Annual Pumpkin Character Contest

Over 100 pumpkins were entered into this year's character pumpkin contest.  This annual event has become a treasured tradition at CES.  Thanks to everyone who entered.

Students and staff have even more to be proud of.  CES was awarded Distinguished status after this year's K-Prep scores were released.
