Teams in Transition
Middle schoolers hear a lot about making the move to high school. But when upperclassmen share their own stories, it becomes a lot more real.
Several GCHS Cougars recently visited with 8th grade teams to share their experiences and provide some pointers on a smooth transition.
According to Tracie Johnston, Team 3 Exceptional Child Educator, the annual event is held before freshman registration “to help prepare our 8th graders for what to expect at the high school and beyond.”
Former Team 3 student and Class of ’16 GCHS grad, Hunter McCrady, even provided an extended look into the future. McCrady is currently attending classes at ECTC and working at MTD through the KYFAME program.
