JULY 2: Family Feedback Survey Responses Through July 1
The feedback we’ve received from 1,763 families to date, along with KY Dept. of Education, Dept. of Public Health and Healthy at Schools guidance will all play a vital role as we continue to plan for 2020-21.
We look to be able to share those plans the week of July 6, with updates on through the summer as guidance continually changes. Even with that, there will be many questions and details to fill in between now and August. We will work to get those answered just as quickly as we possibly can.
We greatly appreciate your patience, flexibility and support as together we travel this new road.
JUNE 25: Yesterday afternoon (June 24), the KY Dept. of Education released Healthy at Schools guidance. This, along with the feedback we’ve received from our families, will guide our steps over the next few weeks as we plan to safely begin school in August. We will provide updates as we continue to work through this process. We greatly appreciate your continued support and patience.

JUNE 19: Grayson County Schools will be providing basic school supplies for all students this year.
There will be a few personal, school or class-specific items that your child will still need, such as a backpack or earbuds. We’ll have more information on those in the next few weeks. For now, we hope sharing that the majority of items will be provided will be a help during what we know has been a tough time for many.
2020-21 School Relaunch
There are countless questions as we move toward the upcoming school year.
As we plan for reopening, we know that our families must plan as well for their own individual situations. This page will provide the latest information and resources as they are made available.
The input from our series of Family Feedback Surveys will strongly impact our decision making process, as we strive to provide the best possible outcomes for every student in every school.
Results from the NTI Survey have been released and can be viewed here. Technology Survey results will be available soon. A final survey addressing student and family-specific issues and concerns has just been released.
Grayson County Schools is working under frequently updated guidance provided by the Kentucky Department of Education and the state Public Health Department, in coordination with our local Grayson County Health Center.
These guidances and the options districts have been asked to consider in reopening are available in the left sidebar.
As we navigate these options open to districts across the state, and assess our own family and student needs and concerns, we will share that information and provide updates on this page.
As we’ve said time and again, things will remain fluid for some time, so please check back often.
