WHAT IS AN NTI DAY?
NTI Days allow Grayson County Schools to continue instruction on days when students are not able to attend due to the Coronavirus. On the designated NTI Days, students will have assignments (either online or paper packets) that provide review opportunities and application of previous learning. Depending on the student’s grade level and school, these assignments may contain lessons from reading/language arts, mathematics, social studies, and writing along with other cross-curricular lessons and opportunities.
Please contact our school or your child's teacher if you have additional questions or need assistance.
General GCS updates can always be found on the district webpage graysoncountyschools.com or directly on this update page which also shares links to state and local health departments and other resources.
NTI DAYS/PACKETS UPDATE (MARCH 26, 2020)
Just in! We have a few changes to pre-Spring Break NTI Days, those that follow it, and the packet process. We think you’ll like them since they help everyone stay #HealthyAtHome. See our update letter to find out what's new.
Students and families, we so appreciate your flexibility, patience and understanding as together we navigate these ever-changing days.
PRACTICE SAFE PACKET DROP OFF
Social distancing is imperative in reducing the risk of COVID-19. When dropping off NTI packets:
- Please maintain at least a six-foot distance between other parents and/or students.
- Use our provided hand sanitizer (indoor locations).
- Wash your hands with soap and water as soon as possible.
Clarkson Elementary is limiting interaction as much as possible by keeping our drop off location maintained in the foyer by the front entrance. All doors, handles, tables, and surfaces that our families may come in contact with are frequently and extensively disinfected and sanitized.
Visit these sites for additional state, local and CDC COVID-19 updates and news.
