We believe that parents/guardians are a child’s first and most important teachers. We promote effective, lifetime participation in the educational experiences of your child. There are many ways a parent/guardian can participate, and the best way to do so is by volunteering. If you are interested in volunteering on a scheduled and/or continuing basis, or have supervisory responsibility for children, you must complete & submit a School Volunteer Background Check Request Form, complete & send in a DPP-156 (Cabinet for Health and Family Services) form, attend volunteer orientation, and receive an approval prior to the date you begin to volunteer. Please take into consideration that these approvals can take from 4-6 weeks to receive, so if you want to work with students, please complete and submit this form as soon as possible so the paper work can begin. We hope that you understand the need to protect our students from any danger while attending school activities. Be sure to look for information about volunteering and getting involved in your child’s/children’s education that students will be bringing home. We count on your support and are looking forward to working with you.
