Alexis Chino, a Junior at Grayson County High School & Technology Center, wants to pursue an engineering degree after graduating high school.  She is currently in the machining pathway which has taught her numerous pre-engineering skills and processes but she still had some questions about the various types of engineers and what the day-to-day life of an engineer looks like. "The workplace can be a scary place, but my experience at Plastikon made it easier to differentiate the type of engineering I want to do. Will and the other employees at Plastikon were very welcoming and got to know me and what I was interested in. They helped me open up my mind and give me a direction in the engineering world  by introducing me to various opportunities in the engineering field."  Will Anderson, the Pre-Production Engineering Manager at Plastikon, was thrilled to work with Alexis and stated that it was a great program that provides real experience on what the industry is like and felt that it absolutely should be an integral part of extending learning beyond the classroom. Another work-based learning win! Thanks to all of the partners at Plastikon for helping Alexis gain insight into her future as an Engineer!
