
GCHS will be hosting a Winter Ball Formal Dance on Sat, Dec 10 from 7-10 pm at the HS. Tickets will go on sale, Thurs, Dec 1 for $10, during 3rd Period. Any GCHS student can attend & any guest 20 to 15 are also allowed to attend. If a guest is not a student of GCHS, an approval form must be completed. Those forms can be picked up in the Counselor’s Office starting Wed of this week. Attire is semi-formal. All proceeds assist with senior activities.

The Tech Center’s Machining program presented a reverse-engineered, 3D-printed sign bridge replica to Mid-Park Highway. Opportunities will continue to grow with new engineering, robotics, and industrial maintenance offerings at the school. Story at: http://bit.ly/3grSUps





Congratulations to these musicians selected to the KMEA Fourth District, All-District Symphonic Band! Shawni Poole (alt.), Avery Gowin, Shane Craig, Donovan Jaggers, and Liam Stewart. Each will also move on to the second round of the KY All-State Band auditions next month.


Vocal Audition Prep, the GCHS advanced choir, participated in the by-invitation Morehead State Choral Festival last week. This is the group’s first time attending and while there two members, Dawson Gorby and Jacob VanMetre, were selected as the concert soloists.


GCHS Jrs & Srs participated in a College/Career Fair on Friday. Local industries, multiple colleges and the Army were on site to provide information. Life after high school is individually different, but preparation is so vital!!

Celebrating Apprenticeship Week and the great things happening for our students and our community at the Grayson County Tech Center. Kicking things off today, we celebrate “growing our own” teachers with Signing Day for our Education Technician track.



Veteran's Day was celebrated at GCHS with guest speaker Kentucky State Senator Steven Meredith, Honor Guard from American Legion Post 81 and several veterans from the Grayson County community. The GCHS Choir sang several songs during the ceremony. The ceremony ended with band students Liam Stewart and Kaitlyn Gilbert playing "Taps. Students were invited to meet the veterans after the program.

This month, 4th, 5th and 8th grade G/T students have been given the opportunity to visit the GC Technology Center and explore CTE classes in 3D Printing, Marketing, and Health Science courses through hands-on experiences.





It was a great weekend for GCHS Band as the group qualified for state and will perform Sat, Oct. 29, 11:30 CT in Richmond. Also, check out Jackson Kane - musician, football, and soccer player - performing with the band during halftime of Friday’s game!
