Asking questions during class helps your teen learn more. If they are hesitant about raising their hand, suggest that they first write down their question to boost their confidence. Or they could stick around to get answers after class. #GCMSOpportunity
GCMS Volleyball sign-ups will be Nov. 21st & Nov 22nd. Time still to be determined. Everyone that plans to try out will need to fill out the pre-registration form & bring a physical with them on the first day of tryouts. Due to COVID-19 restrictions on the number of games that can be played on the same day, there will be no 6th grade team this year. 6th- graders are more than welcome to try out for the 7th-grade team. Suggest that your teen draw designs for products that could help people with disabilities navigate daily life. They might sketch a fork that’s easier to hold or a mini ramp that makes crossing the threshold of a patio door safer. Encourage them to build models of their designs.
Future employers will expect your teen to be responsible for knowing when they are supposed to work and showing up on time. They can practice now by setting phone alarms to remind them to study or leaving notes for themselves about chores they need to do. #GCMSOpportunity
