Helathcare professionals talking to a group of students in a classroom

Career possibilities come to life when you learn from those already in the field. Today marked the annual GCMS Career Day, as dozens of professionals shared their backgrounds, education, and experiences with 8th graders in small group settings.

From food service to community service, carpentry to healthcare, first responders (even the 4-legged kind!) to finance, entrepreneurs, educators, artists, veterinarians, and more came together to give students a firsthand view of their field. GCHS students also joined in to share how their chosen coursework has prepared them for their next steps in college or career.

The event showcases local career opportunities as students prepare for high school and gets them thinking about pathway(s) they may want to pursue while there. A huge thanks goes out to all the pros who partnered to share their expertise with this next-gen workforce.
