Clarkson FRC staff with food drive items on a cart

The Clarkson Family Resource Center and Clarkson Elementary School students have been working hard to help others give thanks this season. Together they have collected 1,449 pounds of food for the school’s annual Fall Food Drive benefitting the Grayson County Alliance Food Pantry.

All grades participated, with third grade leading the way in food donations. Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) students headed up the community service learning project, collecting 650 lbs. more food this year than last. Clarkson Police Chief Buck Meredith coordinated the delivery of the food to the Alliance.
