Congratulations to GCHS students Izzie Stevenson and Piper Mangan who each have been accepted into one of the prestigious Governor’s programs this summer.
Izzie will join four other Cougars in the Governor's Scholars Program, spending five weeks on a college campus immersed in the university environment. Her application was selected as part of the rigorous statewide scholarship program which seeks to celebrate Kentucky juniors excelling academically, personally, and in stewardship.
Piper, a sophomore, was selected for the Governor’s School of Entrepreneurs Summer Startup. She was chosen based on personal and academic achievements as well as her interest in broadening her knowledge of starting her own business here in Grayson County. Piper will spend 3 weeks on the University of Kentucky's Gatton Campus learning and nurturing ideas into businesses.
