Bradley Mattingly and family

Bradley Mattingly will take the helm at Clarkson Elementary next school year as its new principal. He replaces Adam Smith who will remain with the district but in a new role as Director of Elementary Education

Mattingly brings a strong background in education, a passion for student success, and a commitment to continuing positive school culture.

He has served as the Instructional Coach at Custer Elementary School for the past six years, where he worked closely with teachers and students to support academic growth and instructional excellence. Prior to that, he spent seven years in the classroom, gaining valuable experience as a teacher and cultivating a deep understanding of students’ diverse needs.

In making the announcement, Supt. Doug Robinson noted Mattingly’s diverse background working with students and faculty alike. “Bradley has a strong focus on student needs and a positive culture,” he said. “ He will bring a wide range of knowledge and experiences to his new role.”

Mattingly’s wife Whitney, is a teacher at Hardinsburg Elementary School. Together, they are the proud parents of three boys—Truett, Teller, and Thatcher—who keep them “busy, inspired, and full of joy.”

“I’m excited to begin this new chapter at Clarkson, he said. I look forward to working alongside staff, students, families, and the community to continue the Redhawk tradition of excellence.
