Stacy Decker named asst supt.

Grayson County Schools has named Stacy Decker as its next Assistant Superintendent, effective July 1.

Now entering her 20th year in education, Decker has spent all but three years of her career serving Grayson County Schools. During that time, she has worked as a middle school science teacher, girls’ basketball coach, assistant principal, and instructional supervisor, giving her experience at the classroom, school, and district levels.

For the past eight and a half years, she has served as the Secondary Instructional Supervisor, working alongside school leaders and teachers across the district to support instruction, curriculum, and student achievement.

“Stacy has served our district in a variety of roles and understands our schools from multiple perspectives,” said Superintendent Doug Robinson. “She cares deeply about our students, supports our staff, and is committed to the success of our community. I’m excited to have her serving in this new role.”

Throughout her career, Decker has remained committed to supporting students and educators while helping strengthen the schools and community she calls home. She said the opportunity to serve as Assistant Superintendent allows her to continue that work in a new capacity.

“My commitment to Grayson County Schools is deeply personal,” she said. “My family is part of this community, and I believe in its future. I care deeply about the success of our students, staff, and families, and I know the work we do in our schools helps shape that future every day. I see this opportunity as the next step in continuing to support our schools, strengthen our community, and serve a district that means so much to me.”
