It was another fantastic day at the annual GCMS Walk-A-Thon!
Grayson County Middle School partnered with the Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center Community Health Committee earlier this month for a fun-filled day focused on movement, healthy habits, and friendly competition. Students challenged themselves to see who could complete the most laps during their allotted walk time, cheering one another on along the way!
They also enjoyed spending time with their favorite fitness friend, Fitt Fiddle, who helped make the day even more memorable! And the fun didn't stop there. Every student received a step tracker to take home so they can continue monitoring their physical activity and building healthy habits long after the event.
Plus, the top 10 students in each grade level earned a special trip to the Alice Theatre for popcorn and a movie.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this annual tradition such a success. Together, we're encouraging our students to stay active, healthy, and engaged!
