After their District championship last month, Caneyville Elementary’s Academic Team made it a repeat, taking top honors as Governor's Cup Regional champs. The Flash placed first in the Future Problem Solving event, and third in Quick Recall. Clarkson Elementary took second in Quick Recall, third in FPS.
In addition, there were multiple placements by district schools in individual assessment categories. These included:
Mathematics: 5th place, Jane Bohannon, Caneyville
Science: 1st place, Trinity Clemons, Caneyville; 3rd place Keilan Hayes, Lawler Elementary; 4th place, Jace Moore, Clarkson
Social Studies: 5th place, Landry Crowder, Clarkson
Language Arts: 1st place (tie), Trinity Clemons, Caneyville Elementary; 4th place, Jane Bohannon, Caneyville, and Landry Crowder, Clarkson (tie)
Arts & Humanities: 2nd place, Jessy Smith, Caneyville; 3rd place, Gabby Stevenson, Lawler
Composition: 3rd place, Kady Cook, Clarkson; 4th place, Charli Johnston, Clarkson 5th place, Leah Helvey, Lawler
