Grayson County High School’s Academic Team recently competed at the KAAC Governor's Cup State Tournament in Louisville, with the Future Problem Solving team placing 17th statewide.

The FPS team is coached by Adam Spinks and includes seniors Bahaa El-Masri and Haley Hart, and sophomores Tara Wells, Isabella Sanchez, Aydrienne Ray, Laslen Hatfield, and Michenna Meredith.

In addition, sophomore Lainie Anderson placed 11th in English Composition, just missing a walk across the stage with the top 10.

The GCHS academic team is coached by head coach Bill Newsome and assistant coaches Adam Spinks, Priscilla Gordeuk, and Erina Duvall.

Best of luck to the Cougar Academic Team in their remaining competitions this year and in their summer camp preparations for next year!
