Problem-solving, teamwork, and proven hands-on technical skills were all part of STEM/IT Day between GCS and Meade County Tech Centers. A BIG thank you to WRECC for sponsoring the first-time event to showcase student skills (and providing some really cool shirts with an assist from GCHS Marketing)!

Students worked together on a variety of STEM-related projects including Sphero (robotics), Hardware Repair (Chromebook and ethernet cabling), Drone Piloting, 3D Printing, Python Programming, HVAC, and Multimedia Publishing.

The skills they have learned and demonstrated their expertise in are among the highest demand in today’s world. Getting the two districts together also gave students an eye into different problem-solving approaches and opportunities to learn from one another.
