Congratulations to these musicians, who’ve earned a chair in the All-State Band. GCMS 8th grader, Donovan Jaggers, 4th chair trombone in the first-ever MS All-State Band, and GCHS percussionist Mason Parker, who will perform with the HS All-State Band at the KY Center for the Arts in Feb.

Top 10 finish in Bands of America Super Regional Class AA, competing with 84 bands from 10 states – talk about "Next Level!" Congratulations to the GCHS Marching Cougars in wrapping up an outstanding season with such an impressive finale. A tribute to leadership, teamwork, resilience and plain old hard work – qualities that will serve these students for life.

Music Legacy continues at WKU Friday, September 27, 2019 at WKU, six GCHS orchestra and band graduates performed as members of  WKU’s  Symphony at Van Meter Auditorium led by Dr. Brian St.John.  All are former students of Adam and Stacey French, with Kristen Jarboe Hicks being an Assistant Conductor at WKU.  Congratulations to all.  Pictured are:  Jackson Parker, Dominic Hughes, Hannah McCrady, Holly Sims, Emily Chambers, Kristen Jarboe Hicks and Adam French.   All students earned music scholarships to attend WKU.

It's a Signing Day celebration for these Class of ‘19 grads found success with local employers through coops, job shadowing while still in school and earned employment offers as result!
