When your teen gets graded tests and quizzes back, recommend that they look up the answers to any questions they got wrong. They can put the right answer on the test and use the corrected paper to study for midterms or finals. #GCMSOpportunity

After your teen completes a first draft of a writing assignment, they can use the “find & replace” feature to locate repeated words. Examples: “important,” “very,” “other.” Encourage them to find synonyms in a thesaurus or rewrite sentences so the overused words aren’t needed.

Give your teen’s presentation skills a boost! Let them choose a TED Talk to watch with you and point out what the speaker does well (speaks clearly, gives examples). Then, your child can practice those behaviors while they give a mini TED Talk about a favorite topic.
