
The KY Music Educators All-State Choir has been selected and will include GCHS students (back) Sarah Bratcher, Megan Duvall, Macy Lively, Makenzie Coates, Hannah Baxter, Grace Chitwood; (front) Cameron Harris, Austin Clark. They will perform Feb. 9 at the Kentucky Center for the Arts.

Record-breaking eight @gchs_cougars have earned a chair in the very competitive All-State Orchestra. Congratulations Tessa Whittaker, Kali Ramsey, Michael Dennis, Evan Clark, Austin Clark, Stevie Phillips, Payton Abney and Katlyn Guyton.


It’s time to Meet the Cougars, Friday, Nov. 10, starting at 5 pm. Chili Supper, Silent Auction and Boys/Girls inter-squad scrimmage for just $6, ages 11+ and $3, ages 6-10. Children 5 and under get in free. And, any Jr. Pro basketball player wearing their jersey will be admitted free. Come out and support Cougar Basketball!


Eight GCMS Orchestra students recently performed in the University of Louisville Middle School Honors Orchestra. Grace Henderson, Michell Lynch, Mia Whitfill, Emma Embry, Dawson Gorby, Ava St. Clair, Elliot Horn, and Austin Walker were among the more than 100 nominated from across the state.


Alex Hazelwood recently fiddled his way to a 5th Place finish in the Apprentice Fiddler (11 – 15) category at the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddler’s Convention. The "Granddaddy of Midsouth Fiddlers Conventions," draws more than 15,000 people, with more than 200 musicians participating. Alex is shown with Grayson County orchestra teacher Adam French.
